Crane in Airport restricted areas

How low can you go?”

The problem: Government restricts how high objects can go in relationship to proximity to an airports, airfields and anything that has some sort of landing strip. This includes cranes! The problem with most cranes in these areas, is that they have to go way up, before it can drop a line down to lift anything. Your typical stick crane, generally has to stay above a 45 degree angle to work. So, best case scenario, for every foot you need to reach out, you also need to go up that same amount or more. Where the regulated lifting ceiling is 40 feet, that does not give you very many options.
