You might have noticed that in some of the pictures above, we used two different cranes to complete the same lift that a larger crane could have pulled off. That is actually the crane industry’s answer for everything: bigger is better. We won’t deny that it would have made everyone’s life easier to use one single large crane. The problem for our customer on that particular job; it would have cost them another $5000 to do that on top of what it cost to get the two smaller cranes that we ended up using. Cranes get exponentially more expensive the bigger you go. While bigger might be better sometimes, it is not always the most practical thing to do for your pocketbook.
