“How low can you go?”
The problem: The government restricts how high objects can go in relation to proximity to airports, airfields and anything that has some landing strip. This includes cranes! The problem with most cranes in these areas is that they must go way up before dropping a line down to lift anything. Your typical stick crane must stay above a 45-degree angle to work. So, in the best-case scenario, for every foot you need to reach out, you also need to go up that same amount or more. Where the regulated lifting ceiling is 40 feet, that does not give you many options.
How do you lift things in restricted air space?
You need to use a crane that can work under government restrictions. Knuckle cranes are your best solution to this problem. They can reach straight out and downward, working below the restricted air space ceiling, but still give you the lifting power that you require. The only real question is how much weight at what distance.
Braymore Crane Rental is one of the only crane companies in the Toronto area that has heavy-knuckle cranes for hire that can work in these heavily regulated areas, whether lifting a small plane, placing an HVAC on a roof, or lifting any sort of materials.
Braymore also has an assortment of spider cranes that work very well in these types of areas, especially if you need things craned around airport areas.
