Palfinger PK 65002 Knuckle Crane

Meet the crane that changed the way Braymore does craning in Ontario. The Palfinger PK65002 was the perfect blend of power, distance and special features our customers sought. People literally stopped traffic while driving to see this crane in motion. We did not have to sell this crane; one view of how it worked, and people were sold, asking for business cards so they could use it on their next lift.

You are probably asking: what makes it so special?

This crane was well ahead of its time compared to anything else in the city when it was introduced.

It can lift 1500 pounds out to 100 feet in any direction.
It can lift 5000 pounds out to 45 feet in any direction.
It is a knuckle crane that allows the boom to bend in the middle.
Its flatbed deck also allowed it to carry some freight, eliminating the need for a second delivery truck on some jobs.
The crane operates by radio remote control so that the crane operator can stand anywhere he/she wants. This eliminates the need for hand signals on many jobs, reducing errors on job sites.
It deploys with a much smaller footprint than a traditional stick crane, enabling use in locations where other cranes cannot operate.
It deploys faster than most other cranes, reducing the time the crane is on site.
The boom is not restricted to the 45-degree tip restriction on stick cranes. It can reach horizontally and perform a full pickup with the boom at ground level.
The knuckle boom enabled it to perform more precise lifts than a standard crane.
It just looks amazing to watch.
